Golden Milk

Serves 1

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup /250ml plant milk: oat, coconut, hemp milk etc.

  • ¼ cup/60ml of water

  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 tsp ground turmeric or 5-10 thin slices of fresh turmeric root

  • ⅛ tsp ground cardamom or 2-3 cardamom pods, cracked

  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated or ½ tsp ground ginger

  • Pinch of ground nutmeg

  • Pinch of ground black pepper

Optional

  • 1 tsp raw local honey to sweeten

  • 1 tsp organic coconut oil

  • 1 tsp Ashwagandha powder


HOW TO:

  1. Add the plant milk, water, spices to a small pot and season and whisk together.

  2.  Bring to a boil and then reduce heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Remove from heat.

  3. Allow to cool a little and then add honey, if using.

  4. Enjoy!
